We would like to mention the excellent work of Mesdames Valérie Lalbin and Marilie Laferté from the tourist office of Trois-Rivières. We also thank very much the mayor of Trois-Rivières, Mr. Guy Leblanc for his support. We succeeded to contact several industrial partners in the Mauricie region thanks to Mr. Roger Béland, director of CLD (Centre Local de Développement de Francheville) and Mrs. Claire Plourde. We also would like to thank Mrs. Jeanne Dubé, responsible for congress activities at the Delta hotel of Trois-Rivières and also all the other employees of the hotel involved before and during the conferences.
The industry-researchers link up workshop was organized and advertised in the Canadian industry network thanks to Mr. Raymond Gilbert and Mr. Claude Morasse from the National Research Council of Canada.
The cover pages of both proceedings were designed by Mrs. Hélène Beaulieu, `graphic designer' at U.Q.T.R. and the proceedings were printed at Modoc Inc., Trois-Rivières, under the supervision of Mr. Christian Belisle.
The visibility of VI/QCAV'99 on the international scale was made possible thanks to the use of electronic media, and especially the web sites designed and maintained by Mr. Noureddine Abbadeni, graduate student at the university of Sherbrooke.
